RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS
Slee Banyan
Sunday is normally a family relaxation day for most people. Members gather and have a big meal together.
Slee Banyan - a restaurant at the Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa Chiang Mai on Rat Uthit road (down the Old Lamphun Road ½ km and off to the left), decorated in a glamorous Lanna style, offers a special treat every Sunday with its lunch buffet.
Under the trees where the sun shines through green leaves, red and yellow flowers brighten your eyes, and a gentle breeze ruffles your hair, in front of you are tables loaded with ravishing food showcasing international cuisine, Asian dishes, Japanese selections alongside the sushi-making stations, fresh seafood or cuts of meat. And for the sweet-toothed, cakes and desserts in a wide range are available.
Take advantage of a Sunday afternoon to sip your favorite drinks in a peaceful garden. Listen to live jazz music, while enjoying a lunch time with your loved ones. The buffet is open every Sunday from midday to 3 p.m., at 599 baht net per person.
Apart from the Sunday lunch buffet, Slee Banyan also serves an a la carte fusion-tasty Thai and Western menu for all day dining, at both indoors and the outdoor area.

PREGO Restaurant
PREGO is an Italian-meets-Thai restaurant situated in Soi 1, Sripoom Road, only two minutes’ walk from the soi entrance. The décor and furnishing/fittings were all hand-picked by the owner, as also the paintings from Myanmar hanging on the walls.
The food here is cooked by the owner and his trusted staff, and “cook with heart” is their slogan.Chicken massaman curry is the famous Thai dish which is so delicious some American travelers come here every day, just for the massaman curry - and have done so for months!
Their Italian dishes are also superb. Pasta and pizza - Salsiceia e Funghi pizza is recommended as well as Brusschetta with tomato, garlic and olive oil. Plus the vegetables used in cooking are all from the Royal Project and free of preservatives and MSG. For drinks, they offer fresh coffee, and wine which is imported straight from Italy - all of this at friendly prices.
Hardly surprising then, that with the intimate atmosphere, lovely staff, and mouth-watering food, Prego restaurant is always ranked in the top three of a well-known traveler’s website, tripadvisor.com.
Furthermore, specially for CMTG readers, there’s 10% off when you eat at Prego this month.
Does that sound attractive?
