.gifSALAKAPAT : During the lunar months, especially in Chiang Mai, people perform the ritual called dtan salak or kin kuay salak. This is an offering of food and necessary items to monks by lot or label. People prepare baskets of woven bamboo called chalom to use as containers of the lots, whice are offered without designating which monk will receive them.
