Rocking at the River:

.gifIf you are wondering where to head out to tonight, then we have a great suggestion: the Tara Bar, on the Ping River, opposite the Kawila Barracks… the perfect venue for a drink with friends, or to dine out with your family, or even have a date with someone special.

.gif The restaurant is divided into three different zones and each zone is carefully designed on a level space that doesn’t block your view of the river. The open spaces allow air to flow freely. You can choose whether to dine in The Exclusive Zone to enjoy a live music band at the a ringside, or the Step Zone, the open air second floor deck that gives you bird’s eye views of the beautiful surroundings: or the Riverside Zone that gives you a glorious river view and makes for a memorable spot to share some special time with your loved ones.

.gifThis place serves Thai and Western fusion food with a wide selection of spirits and cocktails. Recommended menu items include: Tara Bar Dragon - deep fried shrimps topped with tamarind sauce, Pla Moo (spicy grilled pork salad) and Hor Mok Talay (steamed seafood in a spicy coconut cream curry). Don’t miss the Tara Bar’s special cocktail ‘Tara Bar Angel’, a mixture of gin, rum and blue Curacao. The restaurant is actually an outlet of Bacardi so don’t miss tasting a Mojito that uses Bacardi white rum as the main ingredient.

.gifYou can enjoy three live bands every night, playing from 7.45 pm. to 12.30 am. Come here and rock with modern Thai and Western songs or get up and dance (song request open).

.gifThis month’s special: spend more than 500 baht and get a free 50 baht gift voucher.

.gifGet ready for the night and you can rock it out together at the Tara!

.gifMiguel’s, famous in Chiang Mai for its great Mexican food, has recently launched its new breakfast menu. You can now start your day with a choice of breakfast burritos and quesadillas, Mexican omelette, Huevos Rancheros, strawberry or banana pancakes or even an American Breakfast.

.gifThe new breakfast menu means new opening times for Miguel’s and its three locations in Chiang Mai. Each location now opens at 9am and is waiting to serve you up a yummy breakfast until 2 pm, every day. Now that’ll definitely hit the spot.

.gifMiguel’s has been serving tacos, burritos, quesadillas, sizzling fajitas, burgers and a whole lot more for over four years. For breakfast we recommend you try the breakfast quesadilla with basil and tomato - a flour tortilla grilled with real cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, sautéed tomato and basil. Or for something completely different, and a dish that is fast becoming a big hit, strawberry pancakes with whipping cream. Three large pancakes smothered with strawberries in sauce and topped with a generous mound of whipping cream. Yummy indeed!

.gifHuge portions with great taste and good value are why Miguel’s has become one of the most popular restaurants in Chiang Mai, with expats and tourists alike.

.gifVisit Miguel’s Café on the Moat, Miguel’s Café & Bar in Nong Hoi, or Miguel’s Express on Nimmanhaemin Road.
