HQ PaperMaker
Sa Paper, a product made from bark of the mulberry tree branch, is handmade by local artisans, especially in Northern Thailand, utilizing the same technique that they have used for centuries. Nowadays as the international demand for high quality Sa Paper is increasing, new special papers in various designs have to be developed to meet the needs of the worldwide market.
HQ Group was established in England in 1990 as an importer and distributor of handmade mulberry paper and products from Thailand. Four years later, HQ Group Co., Ltd. was registered in Thailand to further develop handmade paper production facilities and is on the Select List of the Thai Government Department of Export Promotion, exporting paper to 80 countries. Products under the HQ brand present an outstanding quality which is different from any general Sa Paper in the market. Eco-friendliness is the main concern of HQ which produces acid free non-toxic paper made from 100% mulberry providing the paper's strength due to its long fibers. This paper is hard to tear or rip, and does not easily become hairy over time. 100% mulberry also gives a nice natural texture which is different from mixed wood pulp paper. HQ offers a variety of papers for customers to choose from: handmade, milled, petal leaf, printed, art papers, seeded paper and skeleton leaves.
HQ Outlet Shop is also an art gallery giving an opportunity for local young talented artists to exhibit and sell their works.
The various kinds of art such as woodcuts, oils, acrylic, and water colors on show are available for purchase and a lot more work besides are presented in a catalog.
If you need quality mulberry paper, stop by the HQ Outlet Shop and Gallery
opposite Wat Phrasing, Samlan Rd., and receive a special Christmas discount of up to 30% on mulberry paper, paintings and lots of
special gifts until 23rd December 2008.
