X-Centre

Mae Rim district offers tourists numerous activities with plenty of natural attractions along the Mae Rim-Samoeng Rd., and is also the place for adventure and an extreme sports trip.

The X-Centre is a one-stop-shop full of energetic and exciting activities, where tourists can spend all day enjoying extreme activities hosted by a security-conscious professional team. For motor sports lovers, try the off-road buggy following a guide vehicle through the jungle trails into the hills, full of beautiful mountain scenery that only a few tourists get to see. If you are comfortable with a manual gearshift, the buggy is not difficult to drive, but for those who love to race, the latest 'Drifter' Go Kart may be for you. The Drifter is designed for dirt track racing, is easy to drive and can be driven by both youngsters and adults. This track is perfect for groups who want to race, but individuals are welcome to speed around the track just for fun.

However, X-Centre also provides a great opportunity for groups. For example, Paintball welcomes both small and large groups, which are provided with realistic specialized equipment and team clothing.

The highlight of the X-Centre activities is the Jungle Bungy Jump, run by Thailand's original bungy jump operators who have a 100% safety record since their first jump in 1992. To ensure that all jumpers enjoy their jump with 100% safety, all staff are trained and overseen by a New Zealand standards certified jumpmaster. The X-Centre bungy jump is located in a lush area, a few hundred metres from the main area of the compound, where spectators can relax and watch the extreme jump from the garden bar. The bungy tower here uses a fixed stable electronic lift rated at 750 kilograms taking jumpers to a height of 165 feet (50 metres). When it's time to jump, photographs and a video DVD recording service is provided at reasonable prices, and all brave jumpers are presented with a certificate as a reward for their courage.

After using up a ton of energy during an exciting yet exhausting day, the X-Centre restaurant is the place to relax and recharge. X-Centre offers a large international and Thai menu, including sumptuous New Zealand Steaks. For those who don't wish to participate in any activities at the X-Centre, the restaurant is the perfect place to hang out along the Mae Rim - Samoeng Rd., where visitors are always welcome.
