.gifLocated not far outside the moat, on your way to the airport, Nim City Daily is home to a number of great food and beverage establishments. One of which, Snax, has recently come under new ownership and they’re definitely doing things right.

.gifTucked right next door to one of Chiang Mai’s premiere wine shops,Wine Connection, the atmosphere is quaint, with European style stone floors and stone patio with wooden tables and umbrellas. The menu boasts a wide range of Thai and Western favorites, each week offering new specials - featuring a meat dish, a fish dish, and a Thai dish - as they strive to find just the right match for their patrons. Diners are also encouraged to grab a fine wine from next door, a perfect compliment to any number of dishes offered at Snax, including the cheese plate.

.gifThe John Dory Fish n’ Chips is delicately battered and fried, served with homemade tartar sauce and beautiful, green garden peas. Check out the English style sausage with herb mashed potatoes and onion gravy – the sausage was prepared here in Chiang Mai at Sausage King by a true Englishman. In fact, Snax makes every effort to use local produce and ingredients wherever possible and values the importance of supporting local farmers and industry, such as coffee from Suan Lahu organic coffee farm.

.gifAs Snax continues to refine their menu, they’ll be serving New Zealand lamb, imported salmon and Australian beef as some of their featured specials to see what’s in demand. This café style spot is perfect for a lunch date, business or pleasure, or for meeting up with friends after work for great wine and fabulous food. Additionally, every third Friday enjoy live music at Nim City Daily starting at 6:30 pm.

The highlight is the grilled menu, offering a wide range of delicately-grilled items such as veal sausage, giant squid and prawn, chicken breast, lamb rack, pork and beef. To really top things off in style, make a selection from the wine cellar, which offers a pleasing variety of wines from standard to premium grade.
