Thai Medicine and Herbs

Traditional Thai medicine and herbs have been famous for a long time. In the past they were a part of local life style, because Western medicine only came to Thailand about 100 years ago.

Thai medicine includes massages and herbs helping alleviate toxins commonly associated with modern medicine. Till 3rd of this month there will be a fair of Traditional Thai Medicine and Herbs at Chiang Mai University Art Museum from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. A lot of activities will take place there, such as a Herbal Plants Contest, a Herbal Food Contest, a Herbal Garden Contest, and a Folksong Contest.

There will also be a herbal exhibition from the four regions of Thailand, with demonstrations of Thai medical practices such as a short course of body massage, face massage and foot massage for free! and a seminar about Thai Herbs.
