.gifDokmai Garden Chiangmai Co. Ltd. is a family-owned business. The aim of the garden is to use 24 rai of plantations for tourism and as a resource of botanical knowledge for all students, educators and visitors. Dokmai Garden is a modern ethnobotanical garden which currently exhibits over 650 different kinds of tropical ornamental plants, forest plants, fruit trees, poisonous trees, vegetables and weeds and many more. A reservoir holds several water plants and fish such as walking catfish and snakehead murrel, as well as frogs and fresh water crabs. There are signs giving information on each kind of plant in three languages: Thai, English, and Japanese. The garden tour is offered perfectly to small groups. An English-speaking guide who is an expert in the botanic field accompanies the group to explain and answer questions. There is no limit to visiting time, so the visitors can enjoy walking around the garden as long as they want.
